Is Marijuana Legal To Use?The legality of marijuana varies depending on where you live. In Canada, marijuana is now legal across the country to buy and use. However, the restrictions on who can smoke and where you can smoke vary from province to province. In most provinces, anyone aged 19 or over can buy and use marijuana. The two exceptions are Alberta, where the legal age is 19, and Quebec, where the legal age was recently raised to 21. You can buy weed online or in stores. You can smoke weed in public properties or residences. Some states also allow you to smoke in designated public places. You can carry up to 30 grams of weed or the equivalent of other products.
-
What Are Marijuana Strains?Marijuana is the drug harvested from cannabis plants also known as weed, kush or simply cannabis. However, there are various strains of cannabis plants and each is different in terms of taste, smell, and effects. There are three main categories of marijuana strains. Indica strains are associated with relaxing and sedating effects. Indica strains are the best choice for relieving pain, inflammation, headaches, migraines, and insomnia. They can also simply help you relax for recreational purposes. Sativa strains are associated with more mentally-stimulating and energizing effects. These can be great for dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. They can also be good for social situations where you want to be more talkative. Hybrid strains are strains that contain a mix of indica and sativa genetics. These are ideal for users who want well-balanced effects and relief for both physical and mental symptoms. They can be indica-dominant or sativa-dominant depending on their genetic ratios.
-
What Are The Effects Of Marijuana? The cannabinoids in marijuana bind to cannabinoid receptors in the body and can have various mental and physical effects. For instance, THC activates brain reward circuits to give you a happy and euphoric mental high. This is why many users instantly feel a boost in their mood after smoking weed. You’ll also get strong physical effects. Marijuana generally delivers a relaxing and soothing high. As well as being great for pain, many users find that marijuana simply helps them relax and relieve all kinds of pain, aches, and physical tension. You might also end up feeling sleepy. There are some side effects of smoking marijuana. In high doses, you might experience increased anxiety, paranoia, and nausea. It’s important not to smoke more than you can tolerate for this reason. In lower doses, you’ll experience minor side effects such as dry eyes, dry mouth, and an increased appetite.

What’s The Difference Between THC And CBD?Marijuana is made up of various chemical compounds known as cannabinoids. These are the compounds that interact with your body to deliver the effects of marijuana. While there are many cannabinoids in marijuana, the two most prominent ones are THC and CBD. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid that delivers the powerful euphoric effects of marijuana. This is the chemical that makes you high but it can also have negative side effects in high doses.
-
What’s The Difference Between THC And CBD?CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that has become extremely popular in recent years for therapeutic use. CBD can counteract the negative effects of THC and deliver a more calming and soothing effect. Users who want to avoid getting high altogether often use pure CBD products such as Oils, Edibles, and Vape Juices.
-
What Is Marijuana?Marijuana, which can also be called weed, pot, dope, or cannabis, is the dried flowers and leaves of the cannabis plant. It contains mind-altering (e.g., psychoactive) compounds like tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, as well as other active compounds like cannabidiol, or CBD, that are not mind-altering.
-
How Is Marijuana Used? There are many ways of using marijuana, and each one affects users differently. Marijuana can be rolled up and smoked like a cigarette (a joint) or a cigar (a blunt). Marijuana can also be smoked in a pipe. Sometimes people mix it in food and eat it or brew it as a tea (edibles). Smoking oils, concentrates, and extracts from the marijuana plant are on the rise. People who use this practice call it “dabbing.”

What Determines How Marijuana Effects A Person?Like any other drug, marijuana’s effects on a person depends on a number of factors, including the person’s previous experience with the drug or other drugs, biology (e.g., genes), gender, how the drug is taken, and how strong it is. What’s The Difference Between A Joint And A Blunt? One of the most popular ways to smoke marijuana is by rolling joints. A joint is a cigarette made purely with weed. This generally involves using a Grinder to grind your weed and rolling it using Rolling Papers. This is a convenient way to smoke whether you’re with friends or alone. Some users like to mix loose-leaf tobacco into their joints. Mixing tobacco and weed in a rolling paper is known as a spliff and gives you a slightly different kind of high. Much like a joint, a blunt is a roll-up made with marijuana. However, instead of rolling it with regular rolling papers, you use cigar wraps. These are made out of tobacco leaves and, as such, give you the effects of nicotine along with the effects of weed. You can also make a blunt by emptying a cigar and packing weed into it. Rolling joints is fairly easy to get the hang of. However, those who don’t enjoy the process of rolling joints and want more convenience can simply buy pre-rolls online.

Is Marijuana A Medicine? The marijuana plant has chemicals that may help symptoms for some health problems. More and more states are making it legal to use the plant as medicine for certain conditions. But there isn’t enough research to show that the whole plant works to treat or cure these conditions. Because marijuana is often smoked, it can damage your lungs and cardiovascular system (e.g., heart and blood vessels). These and other damaging effects on the brain and body could make marijuana more harmful than helpful as a medicine. Another problem with marijuana as a medicine is that the ingredients aren’t exactly the same from plant to plant. There’s no way to know what kind and how much of a chemical you’re getting. Two medicines have been made as pills from a chemical that’s like THC, one of the chemicals found in the marijuana plant that makes people feel “high.” These two medicines can treat nausea if you have cancer and make you hungry if you have AIDS and don’t feel like eating. But the chemical used to make these medicines affects the brain also, so it can do things to your body other than just working as medicine. Another marijuana chemical that scientists are studying, called cannabidiol (CBD), doesn’t make you high because it acts on different parts of the nervous system than THC Scientists think this chemical might help children who have a lot of seizures (when your body starts twitching and jerking uncontrollably) that can’t be controlled with other medicines. Some studies have started to see whether it can help.

Is It Safe For A Breastfeeding Mom To Use Marijuana? We do not yet know. Chemicals from marijuana can be passed to your baby through breast milk. THC is stored in fat and is slowly released over time, meaning that your baby could still be exposed even after you stop using marijuana. However, data on the effects of marijuana exposure to the infant or baby through breastfeeding are limited and conflicting. To limit potential risk to the infant, breastfeeding mothers should reduce or avoid marijuana use.
-
How Is Eating Or Drinking Foods That Contain Marijuana (Edibles) Different From Smoking Cannasbis?Because marijuana contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), there are health risks associated with using marijuana regardless of the how it is used. Some of these negative effects include having difficulty thinking and problem-solving, having problems with memory, learning and maintaining attention and demonstrating impaired coordination. Additionally, frequent use can lead to becoming addicted to marijuana. However, some risks may differ by the way it is used. Smoke from marijuana contains many of the same toxins, irritants, and carcinogens as tobacco smoke. Smoking marijuana can lead to a greater risk of bronchitis, cough, and phlegm production. Whereas, edibles, which take longer to digest, take longer to produce an effect. Therefore, people may consume more to feel the effects faster. This may lead to people consuming very high doses and result in negative effects like anxiety, paranoia and, in rare cases, an extreme psychotic reaction (e.g. delusions, hallucinations, talking incoherently, and agitation).

Using marijuana at an early age can lead to negative health consequences. •Heavy marijuana use (daily or near-daily) can do damage to memory, learning, and attention, which can last a week or more after the last time someone used. •Using marijuana during pregnancy or while breastfeeding may harm the baby, just like alcohol or tobacco. •Marijuana use has been linked to anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia, but scientists don’t yet know whether it directly causes these diseases. •Smoking any product, including marijuana, can damage your lungs and cardiovascular system. A CLOSER LOOK :HOW THE CANNABIS IMPACTS HEALTH Marijuana is the most widely used illicit drug in the United States. Some of the claims made for or against marijuana are scientifically well-grounded and some are not. How can you tell which is which? The NASEM developed a report that reviews the current and existing science on cannabis use and its impact on people’s health. The report offers: •An in-depth and broad review of the most recent research •Nearly 100 research conclusions about the health effects of cannabis and cannabis-based products •Recommendations to expand and improve cannabis research and data collection

What’s A Bong?Users who want something more powerful than a Pipe often use a Bong. After filling the base with water, all you have to do is add some ground weed to the bowl, light, and inhale through the mouthpiece. The long structure of Bongs allows for some extra-strong hits and the water filters out toxins and impurities to make your hits feel cooler and smoother. Bongs come in many shapes and styles from portable Mini Bongs to large Big-Hitter Bongs. You can also find various themed Bongs and even Bongs that glow in the dark. Whichever way, a Bong is a great purchase if you want to enjoy some incredible smoking sessions.
-
What Are Marijuana Concentrates? There are various types of marijuana products you can use. For instance, those who want something stronger than weed often use marijuana concentrates. These are products that have been extracted from strains of weed into a more potent and highly-concentrated form. Concentrates come in many diverse forms made using different methods of extraction. For instance, some require the use of solvents such as butane whereas others are made simply by exposing weed to high heat and pressure. Some popular types include Shatter, Hash, Budder and Live Resin. You can use concentrates in a joint, Pipe or Bong but they need to be mixed with weed to burn well. However, most users prefer to use concentrates either via Vaping (using a Dab Pen or Wax Pen) or by using a Dab Rig – a device like a Bong that involves heating a nail with a blow torch to instantly vaporize your chosen concentrate.
-
What Are Marijuana Edibles?Users who want an enjoyable, smokeless method of marijuana consumption often useMarijuana Edibles.Edibles are food products that have been infused with marijuana and can give you a potent and long-lasting high. While the effects of smoking weed usually hit you instantly and last for around 2-3 hours, edibles last for much longer. Research showsthat the effects of edibles usually hit you at around 30-90 minutes after consumption and the effects can last anywhere from 4 to 12 hours. The effects of edibles are also much stronger than other methods of consumption. When THC is consumed orally, your body converts it into the stronger 11-hydroxy-THC. While the general effects are the same, they’re much more intense than smoking or vaping weed. However, those who want to avoid the long-lasting high can use CBD Edibles instead.
-

These can be used simply by adding some weed to a chamber, turning the device on, and enjoying the smooth and satisfying vapour. You can also find many Vape Pens designed for vaporizing cannabis concentrates such as Wax, Shatter, Live Resin, and Rosin. What is a Sativa Strain?Sativa cannabis strains are often described as having a creative, invigorating and euphoric high. Generally called the mind or head high that brings the imagination within the brain. The uplifting, Sativa high is more cerebral than the Indica high, which is felt in the entire body. It’s a perfect stimulant for “wake and bake” as it provides a very energetic high with more hallucinogenic effects compared to its counterpart (Indica) that induces a very relaxing feeling. Sativas are generally compared to caffeine as it increases alertness and gives a sudden burst of energy making it better suited for daytime use. Sativa weed has a heavy amount of THC compared to Indicas; generally having a higher CBD content. These marijuana strains help with focus and have been found to enhance lighting and sounds, making visible surroundings more vibrant. This specific cannabis is apart of the Cannabaceae family. Sativas are recommended for early morning consumption or afternoon consumption.
-
What Is An Indica Strain?Indica strains are known for their potency in leaving the user with a couch-locked body-high and putting the user in a state of lethargy. It’s usually taken to help sleep apnea, depression and headaches while also relieving pain. Indicas often induce body relaxation, stress relief, and anxiety relief. Most of all Indica kush has a very sedating effect that leads to drowsiness. Most of all these strains tend to have high concentration levels of CBD compared to their counterpart THC. The CBD is the “stoned” feeling that gives you muscle relaxation, while the THC induces the “trip” feeling. Indicas are often smoked before a meal, as it increases the appetite. It’s ideally smoked for chronic pain, and when experiencing sleeping deprivation. The effects of these strains are extremely relaxing and narcotic-like; typically providing a full-body high. This specific cannabis is apart of the Cannabaceae family. Indica strains are recommended to be smoked at night.
-
Why Choose A Hybrid Strain?Hybrid cannabis strains have both Indica-dominant and Sativa-dominant properties that provide a balanced, stable high. The major difference is that Indicas and Sativas provide a different “high”. Hybrids combine the relaxing body, drowsy, mellow high with the pain relief from the Indica strain, and also provides the uplifting, introspective high that encourages creativity from the strains. In the Indica vs. the Sativa world, when you’re looking for elements of both strains, you can never go wrong with a hybrid. Hybrids provide a strong Indica or Sativa euphoric high, depending on which dominant strain overpowers the other. Depending on the genetics of each strain, it will often take on the characteristics of both strains. When bred together they create a new strain that has both qualities and properties of those particular strains. The traits that come from the lineage of each breed can often dominate each other. These varieties are what defines Hybrids from Indicas and Sativas. This is called marijuana breeding, in which two different strains are breeded to create a unique strain.
